Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

  1. Publication Ethics and Responsibilities

INNOVATIVE HEALTH SCIENCES journal adopts the highest ethical standards of scientific publishing. The publication process is based on the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA) and World Association of Medical Editors (WAME).

All articles published in our journal are evaluated in accordance with the principles of scientific integrity, academic ethics and transparency. Accordingly, authors, editors, reviewers and editorial board members are obliged to comply with the following ethical principles.

  1. Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must comply with the following ethical rules during the manuscript submission process:

           a) Originality and Scientific Contribution

- Submitted manuscripts must be completely original, must not have been published elsewhere, or must not have been taken into the evaluation process for publication.

- The studies should contribute to scientific development in the field of health sciences.

            b) Citation and Plagiarism

- Authors must fully acknowledge all sources used and avoid plagiarism.

- INNOVATIVE HEALTH SCIENCES reserves the right to evaluate ethical violations by using plagiarism detection programmes (Turnitin, iThenticate, etc.) for article submission.

           c) Author Contributions and Author List

- All authors in the article should have made a meaningful contribution to the research.

- The author order should be determined by the joint decision of all authors and no arbitrary changes should be made after the study is completed.

          d) Conflict of Interest Statement

- Authors should declare any financial support, conflict of interest, or sponsorship relationship related to their work.

  1. Responsibilities of Reviewers

Within the scope of the double-blind review process applied in our journal, reviewers are obliged to comply with the following ethical principles:

- To keep the evaluated studies confidential.

- To make an impartial and scientific evaluation.

- Avoiding biased comments based on the credentials of the authors.

- To withdraw from the evaluation process by informing the editors in case of conflict of interest.

- To contribute to academic development by providing reasoned and constructive criticism.

  1. Responsibilities of the Editors and Editorial Board

Editors and editorial board members are obliged to act in accordance with the principles of scientific publishing. In this direction:

- They take scientific quality and originality as a basis in article selection.

- Conduct an impartial evaluation process.

- They meticulously examine ethical violations and plagiarism.

- They manage a transparent process by taking into account the complaints of authors, referees and readers.

  1. Publication Policy

    a) Double Blind Refereeing Process

Manuscripts submitted to our journal are subjected to double blind peer review. In this process:

- Author and referee identities are kept confidential.

- Articles are evaluated by at least two independent reviewers.

- The article is accepted, revised or rejected according to the comments received from the referees.
   

            b) Open Access Policy

- INNOVATIVE HEALTH SCIENCES is an open access journal.

- Open access policy aims to encourage the dissemination of scientific knowledge.

            c) Publication Frequency

Our journal is published regularly in specified periods. Special issues and additional publications may be planned in line with the editorial decision.

            d) Plagiarism and Ethical Violations

- All articles are checked with advanced software programmes against ethical violations.

- Plagiarised manuscripts will be rejected and action will be taken against the relevant authors.

  1. Declaration of Conflict of Interest and Financial Support

- All authors should indicate whether there is any conflict of interest or financial support for their work.

- The influence of funding organisations on the content of the study should be clearly declared.

 

  1. Correction, Withdrawal and Cancellation Policy

- If significant errors are detected in an article after publication, a correction may be published.

- Articles with ethical violations, plagiarism or misrepresentation are withdrawn from the journal.

- Authors of withdrawn articles cannot apply again.
