Article Submission Guidelines
This guide is intended for authors who wish to submit an article to INNOVATIVE HEALTH SCIENCES. Articles should be prepared in accordance with the spelling rules and ethical standards of our journal.
- General Information
- INNOVATIVE HEALTH SCIENCES journal publishes original research articles, review studies, case reports and letters to the editor in the field of health sciences.
- Submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process.
- Manuscripts should only be submitted through the journal's online article management system.
- All authors must complete ethical statements and copyright transfer forms.
- Article Types
The following types of articles are accepted to our journal:
a) Original Research Articles
- Must contain original scientific research.
- Structure: Abstract, Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusion and References.
- Word Count: 3000-5000 words
- Abstract: Up to 250 words, structured (Objective, Methods, Results, Conclusion).
- Number of References: Maximum 40
b) Review Articles
- Articles that compile and analyse current information in the field.
- Word Count: 4000-7000 words
- Abstract: Up to 250 words, unstructured
- Number of References: Maximum 60
c) Case Reports
- Articles presenting rare or instructive cases.
- Structure: Abstract, Introduction, Case Presentation, Discussion, Conclusion and References.
- Word Count: Up to 1500 words
- Summary: Up to 150 words
- Number of References: Maximum 20
d) Letters to the Editor
- Commentaries on articles published in the journal or short articles on important topics in the field of health sciences.
- Word Count: Up to 1000 words
- Number of References: Maximum 10
- Article Format and Writing Rules
a) Language and Spelling
- Articles should be written in English.
- It must comply with grammar and academic spelling rules.
- Manuscripts should be written in Times New Roman, 12 font size, 1.5 line spacing.
b) Title Page
- Article title (should not exceed 15 words).
- Name, surname, ORCID number, institution and e-mail address of the author(s).
- Contact details of the corresponding author.
c) Abstract and Keywords
- The abstract should be maximum 250 words.
- Keywords (3-5) should be added.
d) Text Content
- The introduction should include basic information about the study and clearly state the purpose of the study.
- The Materials and Methods section should explain in detail how the study was conducted.
- The Results section should contain clear and unambiguous data.
- Discussion section should evaluate the findings of the study by comparing them with the literature.
- The conclusion should summarise the main messages of the study.
e) Tables and Figures
- All tables and figures should be cited in the text.
- Tables and figures should be uploaded as a separate file.
- Figures must be high resolution.
f) Source Citation
- INNOVATIVE HEALTH SCIENCES uses the APA 7 reference system.

- Ethical Principles and Declarations
- Ethics committee approval must be obtained for research on humans or animals.
- All authors must submit a conflict of interest declaration.
- If financial support or sponsorship is received, it should be indicated in the article.
- Article Submission Process
a) Online Application
- Manuscripts should be submitted via the journal's online article management system.
- Ethical declaration form and copyright transfer form should be uploaded with the manuscript.
b) Referee Evaluation Process
- Manuscripts are subject to a double blind peer review process.
- The evaluation period of the referees takes 4-6 weeks on average.
c) Correction and Revision
- Corrections may be requested from the author(s) according to the referee reports.
- Corrections must be uploaded to the system within 3 weeks at the latest.
- Publication Fees and Open Access Policy
- INNOVATIVE HEALTH SCIENCES is an open access journal.
