REVIEWER AND EDITOR'S BOARD GUIDE

Innovative Health Sciences (IHS) is a peer-reviewed and open access academic journal that includes innovative research in the field of health sciences. The aim of our journal is to contribute to the accumulation of scientific knowledge and to create a strong communication network among researchers. This guide explains the responsibilities, ethical rules and evaluation processes of the referees and editors involved in the journal process.

2.1 Responsibilities of the Reviewers
Reviewers are responsible for evaluating assigned manuscripts for scientific, ethical and academic integrity. The main responsibilities of the referees are as follows:
Impartiality: To evaluate manuscripts in an impartial and objective manner.
Confidentiality: Not sharing the manuscripts they review with third parties and maintaining confidentiality about the content.
Timely Evaluation: To review the assigned manuscripts within the specified period and make a decision.
Constructive Feedback: Providing scientific and constructive feedback to help authors improve their work.
Conflict of Interest: In case of any conflict of interest related to the study, informing the editorial board and withdrawing from the evaluation process.
2.2 Reviewing Process
Article Assignment: Appropriate referees are determined and invited by the editorial board.
Preliminary Review: Reviewers decide whether the article is suitable for review.
Scientific Evaluation: A detailed analysis is made in terms of content, method, findings and conclusions.
Feedback and Decision: Reviewers evaluate the article for acceptance, revision or rejection and submit a report to the editors.
Finalisation: The editors make the final decision by taking into account the referees' opinions.
Editor's Guide
3.1 Responsibilities of the Editors
Editors are responsible for implementing the journal's editorial policies and maintaining scientific standards. The main duties of the editors are as follows:
Maintaining Scientific Quality: To ensure the academic integrity and quality of published works.
Managing the Referee Process: Ensuring that manuscripts are directed to appropriate referees and ensuring that the process proceeds effectively.
Making Impartial Decisions: To make impartial decisions without any conflict of interest in the publication process.
Ensuring Confidentiality: Protecting the identities of reviewers and authors and ensuring the confidentiality of the process.
Complying with Ethical Rules: To prevent plagiarism, forgery and ethical violations by adhering to the principles of publication ethics.
3.2 Editorial Process
Article Submission: The editors pre-review the incoming manuscripts.
Preliminary Evaluation: The suitability of the study to the scope of the journal and its scientific quality are evaluated.
Initiation of the Referee Process: Suitable articles are forwarded to referees.
Evaluation of Referee Reports: In line with the feedback of the referees, a decision is made about the publishability of the article.
Final Decision: The editorial board notifies the authors of the revision, acceptance or rejection decision.
Publication Preparation: Accepted articles are prepared for publication and uploaded to the journal system.
